We have been made aware that an individual pretending to be a Scottish Government official approached a Fife Pension Fund LGPS member at their home a few weeks ago. The member was asked for personal details about their Local Government Pension Scheme membership, which they fortunately refused to provide. The member has been asked to report the incident to the police. 

The Scottish Government and Fife Council's Pension Team will never call a member unannounced asking for personal details. We would ask all members, and all members of the public, to ensure that they never give out personal details to anyone calling unannounced at their home.
